Which technology companies in Ohio sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Ohio-based technology and technology-adjacent employers with documented H-1B1 visa sponsorship history include Nationwide Insurance, JPMorgan Chase, IBM, NCR, and Accenture, all of which maintain engineering and software development operations in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland. Defense contractors and healthcare IT firms in Dayton and Columbus also file H-1B1 Labor Condition Applications. OFLC disclosure data lists certified LCAs by employer, which gives you a verifiable starting point for identifying active sponsors.
Which Ohio cities have the most technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for technology sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of financial services technology, insurance IT, and a growing startup ecosystem centered around The Ohio State University. Cleveland follows with strength in healthcare technology and manufacturing software. Cincinnati's technology activity clusters around fintech, logistics software, and enterprise consulting firms. Dayton, while smaller, has meaningful sponsorship activity tied to defense technology and government IT contractors.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that routinely qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field. Software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, systems engineers, and DevOps specialists are the most common H-1B1-supported positions in Ohio. The position must constitute a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning the degree requirement must be tied specifically to the job duties rather than being a general preference.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for H-1B1 Singapore-eligible roles, so you can search Ohio technology positions without manually screening out employers with no sponsorship history. Because Migrate Mate uses DOL Labor Condition Application data to verify sponsorship activity, results are limited to employers who have actually filed for this visa category. Searching by Ohio and filtering to the technology and software category surfaces the most relevant active openings for Singaporean nationals.
Are there Ohio-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in technology?
Ohio has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal standards, but technology employers in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare IT, and defense contracting may require additional background clearances or E-Verify enrollment that can affect onboarding timelines. Ohio's lower cost of operations compared to coastal tech markets can make sponsorship more financially practical for mid-size employers. Prevailing wage levels for Ohio technology roles can be checked using the OFLC Wage Search tool to understand the wage floor tied to any specific position and location.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore technology jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
