Search Technology Jobs in New JerseyTechnology H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
Which technology companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey technology employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history include IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and a range of financial technology companies headquartered in Jersey City and Parsippany. Pharmaceutical technology divisions at companies like Johnson & Johnson and Merck also file H-1B1 Labor Condition Applications for Singaporean professionals in IT and systems roles. Sponsorship history varies by year and role, so verifying individual employer LCA records through OFLC is recommended.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City and Newark lead for technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity, driven by proximity to New York City financial institutions and their technology operations. The Route 1 corridor towns of Parsippany, Iselin, and Princeton are also active, particularly for enterprise software, IT consulting, and research-oriented technology roles. Edison and Bridgewater see consistent filings from IT services firms with large New Jersey delivery centers serving mid-Atlantic clients.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in New Jersey technology include software engineers, cloud infrastructure architects, data engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and business intelligence developers. The H-1B1 requires the position to be a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field. General IT support or roles without a defined degree requirement in a specific discipline typically do not qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help assess whether a specific role meets the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, allowing you to filter technology jobs in New Jersey by H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history drawn from DOL Labor Condition Application records. This surfaces employers who have actually filed for Singaporean professionals in technology roles, not just companies that claim to sponsor visas. You can narrow results by city, job category, and employer size to focus on New Jersey technology employers with a documented H-1B1 Singapore filing track record.
Are there New Jersey-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore technology sponsorship?
New Jersey's high concentration of IT consulting firms and financial technology employers means many H-1B1 visa positions involve third-party placements at client sites, which requires the filing employer to maintain an employment relationship with the sponsored worker. New Jersey state labor regulations and New Jersey-specific prevailing wage levels, determined through the OFLC Wage Search, apply to all H-1B1 visa LCA filings and may differ from national averages given the state's high cost of living in the northern and central corridors. Confirming the worksite location on the LCA is important, as prevailing wage requirements are tied to the actual work location.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore technology jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
