Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for procurement managers?
Large Ohio-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories in supply chain and procurement include Procter & Gamble, Cardinal Health, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, and Nationwide Insurance. Healthcare systems such as Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth also hire procurement managers and have sponsored international candidates. Manufacturing-heavy employers in the Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati metro areas tend to have established HR infrastructure for visa processing.
What visa types are most commonly used for procurement manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for procurement managers in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA. Those with multinational company backgrounds may explore the L-1A if transferring within the same corporate group.
How to find procurement manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify procurement manager openings in Ohio without sorting through roles that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces positions from employers with active sponsorship histories in supply chain and operations. Searching by Ohio and filtering for procurement manager roles gives you a targeted starting point rather than a broad, unfiltered feed.
Which Ohio cities have the most procurement manager sponsorship opportunities?
Columbus is the most active market, driven by corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and distribution operations. Cleveland follows closely, with strength in manufacturing, medical devices, and logistics tied to its port and industrial base. Cincinnati benefits from proximity to Procter & Gamble's global supply chain operations and a dense cluster of consumer goods and pharmaceutical employers. Dayton sees demand in aerospace and defense procurement.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect procurement manager visa sponsorship?
Ohio's manufacturing and healthcare sectors drive consistent demand for procurement managers with specialized sourcing and supplier management experience, which supports specialty occupation classification for H-1B purposes. The state's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters means many employers already have immigration counsel and established sponsorship processes. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University also produce supply chain graduates who build regional employer relationships, sometimes easing the path for later international hires in similar roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
