Which companies sponsor visas for procurement managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's largest manufacturers and healthcare systems are the most active visa sponsors for procurement managers. Employers like Oshkosh Corporation, Kohler Co., Aurora Health Care, and Bemis Manufacturing have sponsored foreign nationals in supply chain and procurement roles. Large food and beverage companies operating in the state, including Kraft Heinz facilities, also have established HR infrastructure capable of supporting H-1B sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Which visa types are most common for procurement manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for procurement managers in Wisconsin, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category for management consultants. Those with extraordinary achievements in supply chain leadership may also explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documented recognition.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most procurement manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary hub for procurement manager roles, driven by its concentration of manufacturing headquarters, healthcare networks, and logistics operations. Oshkosh and Fond du Lac see demand from defense and heavy equipment manufacturers. Green Bay's food processing and packaging industries generate procurement hiring, while Madison's growing tech and biotech sectors add additional opportunities for candidates with specialized sourcing backgrounds.
How to find procurement manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters procurement manager roles in Wisconsin that come from employers with active sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through thousands of general listings, Migrate Mate surfaces positions where sponsorship is a realistic expectation. Creating a profile and setting job alerts for Wisconsin procurement roles helps candidates respond quickly when relevant positions are posted by sponsoring employers.
Are there state-specific considerations for procurement manager sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's manufacturing concentration means procurement manager roles often require industry-specific sourcing experience, particularly in industrial components, food ingredients, or medical supplies. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply regardless of state, so employers must pay H-1B holders wages consistent with regional benchmarks for the Milwaukee or Green Bay metro areas. University of Wisconsin graduates in supply chain programs have created local talent pipelines, but employers regularly look beyond the region for specialized expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
