Which companies sponsor visas for project analysts in Ohio?
Several large Ohio employers have a track record of sponsoring project analysts. In Columbus, Nationwide Insurance, JPMorgan Chase, and OhioHealth regularly file work visa petitions. In Cincinnati, Procter & Gamble and Kroger are consistent sponsors. In Cleveland, progressive financial services firms and Cleveland Clinic appear frequently in Department of Labor disclosure data for analyst-level roles.
Which visa types are most common for project analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project analyst roles in Ohio, as the position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or engineering. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can begin work before an H-1B petition is filed. The L-1B is an option for intracompany transferees moving into analyst roles at multinational firms with Ohio offices.
Which cities in Ohio have the most project analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads the state for project analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and technology employers. Cincinnati ranks second, particularly in consumer goods and logistics. Cleveland draws sponsorship through healthcare systems and manufacturing firms. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron have opportunities in defense contracting and polymer science, though at lower volume than the three major metros.
How to find project analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for project analyst roles in Ohio without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. You can filter by city, industry, and visa type to match your authorization situation. Because sponsorship status is built into the search, you spend less time on outreach to employers unlikely to support an international hire.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect project analyst visa sponsorship?
Ohio's strong university system, including Ohio State, Case Western Reserve, and University of Cincinnati, produces a consistent supply of international graduates who pursue analyst roles in-state. Employers familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions tend to be more comfortable sponsoring. Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are tied to the Department of Labor's wage data for each metro area, so compensation expectations vary between Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
