Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain roles in Ohio?
Several large Ohio employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for supply chain professionals. Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Honda Manufacturing in Marysville, Amazon across its Ohio fulfillment network, and Cardinal Health in Dublin regularly file H-1B visa petitions for roles in procurement, logistics, and operations. Large third-party logistics providers like Expeditors and XPO Logistics also sponsor in the state.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for supply chain roles in Ohio, particularly for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Candidates with exceptional industry recognition may pursue an O-1 visa, though that pathway is less common in supply chain than in technical fields.
Which cities in Ohio have the most supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's most active city for supply chain hiring, anchored by a dense concentration of distribution centers and corporate headquarters in the logistics corridor along I-70. Cincinnati follows closely, driven by consumer goods and manufacturing employers. Cleveland supports supply chain roles tied to manufacturing and Great Lakes freight. Dayton and Toledo also see demand, particularly in automotive and aerospace supply chains.
How to find supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters supply chain roles in Ohio by visa sponsorship availability. Rather than manually screening hundreds of postings, you can browse positions where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate covers roles across procurement, logistics coordination, demand planning, and operations management, making it a practical starting point for your Ohio job search.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for supply chain professionals?
Ohio's manufacturing and logistics concentration means supply chain roles here often sit within large, established employers who have existing immigration infrastructure and legal counsel familiar with H-1B filings. The state's universities, including Ohio State and the University of Cincinnati, produce supply chain graduates who sometimes transition from OPT to sponsored status with in-state employers. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide and are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific role and location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
