Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain roles in Florida?
Florida-based companies with histories of sponsoring work visas for supply chain professionals include Ryder System, World Fuel Services, Chewy, and Carnival Corporation. Large multinationals operating logistics and distribution centers near PortMiami, Port Tampa Bay, and JAXPORT also sponsor regularly, as do third-party logistics firms and retailers with regional headquarters in the state.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for supply chain roles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Candidates already authorized through OPT or STEM OPT extension are also commonly hired by Florida supply chain employers before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
Which cities in Florida have the most supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads the state given its position as a gateway for Latin American and Caribbean trade, with strong demand in freight forwarding, import/export operations, and port logistics. Tampa has a growing distribution and manufacturing base, and Jacksonville's JAXPORT makes it a significant hub for warehousing and intermodal logistics. Orlando also has demand driven by retail distribution and e-commerce fulfillment.
How to find supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters supply chain jobs in Florida specifically by visa sponsorship, so you're not sifting through roles that don't support international candidates. You can browse procurement, logistics, and operations positions across Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando, filtered by companies with active sponsorship histories. Migrate Mate is built for international job seekers navigating work authorization requirements in the U.S.
Are there any Florida-specific factors that affect supply chain visa sponsorship hiring?
Florida's position as a major trade gateway means supply chain employers here often have experience hiring internationally, particularly in import/export and freight roles tied to Latin American markets. Employers must pay H-1B holders the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which varies by metro area. Florida also has several logistics-focused university programs, including at University of Florida and Florida International University, that create graduate pipelines into sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
