Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain roles in Nebraska?
Nebraska's largest supply chain visa sponsors include food and agribusiness companies like Tyson Foods, JBS USA, and Cargill, along with logistics and distribution firms concentrated in the Omaha metro area. Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Nebraska, such as Union Pacific and Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries, have also filed H-1B petitions for operations and supply chain positions. Sponsorship patterns vary significantly by employer size and role level.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain jobs in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain roles in Nebraska, covering positions like supply chain analyst, logistics manager, and procurement specialist that typically require a relevant bachelor's degree. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Some employers also support O-1 visa petitions for candidates with demonstrated expertise, though this is less common in supply chain.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Omaha is Nebraska's primary hub for supply chain sponsorship jobs, driven by its concentration of distribution centers, corporate headquarters, and proximity to major freight corridors. Lincoln offers additional opportunities, particularly with manufacturing and university-affiliated employers. Grand Island and Lexington have supply chain roles tied to large meatpacking and food processing facilities, though sponsorship availability at those sites varies by employer.
How to find supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters supply chain roles in Nebraska by visa sponsorship availability, saving considerable time compared to manually reviewing job postings. You can search by role type, such as procurement or logistics, and filter to Nebraska employers. Because sponsorship is confirmed before listings appear, you're not wasting applications on companies unlikely to support a visa petition.
Are there any Nebraska-specific factors that affect supply chain visa sponsorship?
Nebraska's strong agribusiness and food processing industries create supply chain demand that differs from coastal tech-driven markets, with roles often tied to physical operations rather than software systems. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and wages for supply chain positions in Nebraska may be lower than coastal equivalents, which can affect H-1B petition competitiveness. University of Nebraska graduates in engineering and business occasionally enter employer-sponsored pipelines locally.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
