Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-based employers have sponsored visas for supply chain operations professionals, including Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Cardinal Health in Dublin, and Nationwide in Columbus. Amazon's extensive fulfillment and distribution network across Ohio also generates sponsorship activity. Manufacturing-heavy employers in the automotive sector around Toledo, such as General Motors suppliers, have similarly filed H-1B petitions for logistics and operations roles.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in Ohio?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for supply chain operations professionals in Ohio, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Those with extraordinary achievements in logistics or operations may also explore the O-1A, though this is less common in the field.
Which cities in Ohio have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for supply chain operations sponsorship activity, driven by its position as a major distribution hub and the concentration of corporate headquarters in the metro area. Cincinnati follows closely, anchored by Procter & Gamble and a dense network of consumer goods suppliers. Cleveland and Toledo also generate meaningful sponsorship volume, particularly in manufacturing-adjacent logistics roles tied to the automotive and steel industries.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters supply chain operations jobs in Ohio specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sifting through postings from employers who won't support international candidates. The platform covers roles across Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Toledo, including positions at major distribution centers and corporate supply chain teams. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to identify Ohio employers actively open to sponsoring.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for supply chain operations candidates?
Ohio's Department of Job and Family Services determines prevailing wage levels that employers must meet when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B sponsorship in supply chain operations roles. The state's strong university pipeline, including programs at Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati, means many employers are accustomed to hiring and sponsoring international graduates. Candidates with backgrounds in industrial engineering or operations research tend to meet specialty occupation standards more clearly than those in generalist roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
