Which companies sponsor visas for consulting analysts in Oregon?
Portland-based employers have historically sponsored consulting analyst roles, including Intel, Nike, and national consulting firms with Oregon offices such as Deloitte, KPMG, and Accenture. Healthcare systems like Providence Health and Oregon Health & Science University also hire analysts in consulting-adjacent roles. Sponsorship availability varies by project pipeline and headcount needs, so it's worth researching each employer's recent H-1B filings through DOL disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for consulting analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for consulting analyst positions in Oregon, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify under the TN visa using the Economist or Management Consultant categories. Australian citizens with relevant degrees may be eligible for the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B lottery.
How to find consulting analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for consulting analyst roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform is built for job seekers who need sponsorship, making it more targeted than general job boards for this search. Filtering by Oregon and the consulting analyst role type on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to employers actively open to sponsoring.
Which cities in Oregon have the most consulting analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of consulting analyst sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, consulting firm offices, and technology employers. Hillsboro, home to Intel's large campus, also generates analyst hiring with sponsorship potential. Bend has a smaller but growing business services sector. For international candidates, Portland is the most practical target city given employer density and available roles.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for consulting analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon does not impose state-level restrictions on visa sponsorship, but employers must comply with federal prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor for H-1B petitions. Portland's technology and clean energy sectors have expanded demand for analytically skilled consultants, and Oregon State University and the University of Oregon produce graduates who sometimes enter the local consulting market. Employers in Oregon's public sector and nonprofits sponsor less frequently than private-sector firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consulting analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
