Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for finance analysts?
Intel, Nike, and Precision Castparts are among the largest Oregon employers with established H-1B sponsorship programs for finance roles. Healthcare systems like Providence Health and OHSU also sponsor finance analysts. Portland-based financial services firms and mid-size tech companies have filed Labor Condition Applications for finance analyst positions, though sponsorship availability varies by team and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance analysts in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN status in the accountant or economist category, depending on job duties.
Which cities in Oregon have the most finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the overwhelming majority of finance analyst sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices. Beaverton and Hillsboro in the Portland metro area also see significant activity, particularly through Intel's large campus. Salem and Eugene have a smaller share, mostly tied to state government, healthcare, and university-affiliated employers.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles and lets you filter finance analyst jobs by state, including Oregon. Rather than sorting through postings that don't confirm sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with documented sponsorship activity for finance roles, saving time during what is often a time-sensitive job search.
Are there any Oregon-specific factors finance analysts should know about visa sponsorship?
Oregon does not have a state income tax for wages earned by nonresident workers under certain conditions, but most finance analysts on H-1B status residing in Oregon will be subject to state income tax. The DOL prevailing wage requirement applies statewide, and Portland metro wages for finance analysts are benchmarked separately from rural Oregon, which can affect LCA filings. Intel's large presence also means Hillsboro is a notable sponsorship hub outside the downtown Portland core.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
