Which companies sponsor visas for finance associates in Oregon?
Oregon's largest sponsoring employers for finance roles include Intel, Nike, Adidas, and Cambia Health Solutions, all of which have dedicated immigration support teams. Regional financial institutions like Umpqua Bank and Pacific Premier Bank also hire finance associates, though their sponsorship activity tends to be less frequent. Technology companies headquartered in the Portland metro area with sizable finance departments are another consistent source of sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for finance associate roles in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for finance associates in Oregon, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT through Oregon universities can work while their employer files an H-1B petition. The TN visa is also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying finance analyst classifications.
Which cities in Oregon have the most finance associate sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of finance associate sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and technology companies with in-house finance teams. Beaverton and Hillsboro in the Portland metro area add additional opportunities, particularly through Intel and Nike. Salem and Eugene see limited sponsorship activity for this role outside of healthcare and university employers.
How to find finance associate visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters finance associate openings in Oregon by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through roles that won't support your work authorization. The platform surfaces positions from employers with documented sponsorship history, which is particularly useful in Oregon where sponsorship activity is concentrated among a smaller set of larger employers. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate narrows the field considerably.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for finance associates seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon has a strong pipeline of international finance talent through Portland State University, University of Oregon, and Oregon State University, which means employers in the state are accustomed to hiring OPT candidates for finance associate roles. Oregon also has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not impact the sponsorship process itself. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are determined by the Portland metro or relevant local area, not a statewide figure.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance associate jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
