About Glimpse
The last decade has been incredibly exciting for electric mobility. However, the electrification of the transportation industry has scaled while relying on an insufficient set of quality control tools. This has led to uncomfortably high rates of battery pack failure and multi-billion-dollar safety recalls. In our view, every headline of electric vehicles and e-bikes catching fire is a major impediment towards an all-electric future.
After having spent a few years in the trenches of battery and electric vehicle factories at Tesla and Toyota, Glimpse’s cofounders set out to build a technology to enable battery quality at scale. In 2024, Glimpse launched the Glimpse Portal, the first scalable X-ray-powered quality management platform for battery cells.
After quadrupling revenue in 2025, Glimpse is now expanding into new hardware industries that rely too heavily on an outdated X-ray scanning technology stack to control the quality of their parts. Today, Glimpse serves over 90 customers, including some of the world’s largest battery companies and OEMs, such as NASA, Anker, Lucid Motors, the Navy, and several hyperscalers.
Role
As Glimpse grows its team and expands into new industries, our finance and people functions are getting more complex: more hires to make and onboard, a growing multi-state employee and commercial footprint, benefits to manage, and books that need to stay clean while we move quickly. We're looking for a driven operator to own these functions - someone who starts as an individual contributor, with a clear path to build and lead a team as these functions scale.
You will be Glimpse's first dedicated HR & finance hire, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own these functions end to end, with tooling and partners already in place: accounting and finance operations (working with our outside accounting firm), payroll through Rippling, sales tax and compliance, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, benefits selection, and performance management across teams. No team above you, no one to hand things off to.
You don't need to be an expert in both finance and people - we're looking for someone strong in one who's genuinely excited to grow into the other. If that sounds exciting, we would love to talk.

Which companies sponsor visas for finance associates in Massachusetts?
Boston-based asset managers and financial services firms are among the most active sponsors for finance associate roles in Massachusetts. Fidelity Investments, State Street Corporation, Wellington Management, and Putnam Investments have consistent histories of H-1B visa filings for finance positions. Regional banks and private equity firms in the Back Bay and Financial District also sponsor, though less frequently than the large institutional players.
Which visa types are most common for finance associate roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for finance associates in Massachusetts, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under TN visa status using the economist or accountant classifications, depending on the specific role.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most finance associate sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the large majority of finance associate visa sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, particularly in the Financial District, Back Bay, and Seaport neighborhoods where institutional asset managers and banks are headquartered. Waltham and Burlington along Route 128 also host financial services offices, and Cambridge attracts fintech-adjacent finance roles connected to the technology and life sciences sectors.
How to find finance associate visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters finance associate jobs specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can browse Massachusetts-based roles without sifting through listings that don't offer sponsorship. The platform focuses on international candidates, making it easier to identify firms in Boston and the broader Greater Boston area that are actively hiring and willing to support H-1B or other work visa petitions for finance associate positions.
Are there state-specific factors that affect finance associate sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a dense concentration of institutional asset managers and financial services firms that maintain established immigration programs, which generally makes the sponsorship process more structured than at smaller employers. The state's strong university pipeline, particularly from MIT Sloan, Harvard Business School, and Boston University Questrom, means many employers are accustomed to recruiting international candidates and have legal teams familiar with H-1B and OPT-to-H-1B transitions for finance roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance associate jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
