Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in Oregon
Verify your occupation qualifies as specialty
The H-1B1 visa requires a specific specialty occupation tied to a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Cross-check your job title against O*NET profiles to confirm the degree requirement is field-specific, not just any bachelor's degree.
Target Oregon employers with active LCA history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Oregon employers by verified H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filings, so you're applying to companies that have already navigated the DOL certification process rather than educating employers about it from scratch.
Focus on Portland's semiconductor and tech cluster
Portland's west side, including Hillsboro and Beaverton, hosts a dense concentration of semiconductor and hardware engineering employers. Roles in chip design, process engineering, and embedded systems align directly with H-1B1 visa specialty occupation criteria and appear consistently in Oregon LCA filings.
Confirm the employer understands the annual cap
The H-1B1 Singapore has an annual cap of 5,400 visas. When negotiating your start date, confirm your prospective Oregon employer knows petitions must be timed against USCIS's fiscal year cycle to avoid filing gaps that delay your entry.
Request an LCA before signing an offer letter
The DOL must certify the LCA before your employer can file the H-1B1 visa application with USCIS. Ask your Oregon employer to initiate the OFLC Wage Search lookup and LCA submission early, so certification delays don't push back your start date.
Prepare your credential equivalency documentation early
If your Singapore degree is a three-year program or from a polytechnic institution, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized evaluator before applying. Oregon employers in healthcare and engineering frequently require this documentation before they'll initiate visa paperwork.

Which industries in Oregon sponsor the most H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Technology and semiconductor manufacturing lead H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by the Hillsboro and Beaverton hardware corridor. Healthcare systems based in Portland and Salem also file regularly for clinical and technical roles. Engineering services, financial technology, and enterprise software firms in the Portland metro round out the most active sponsoring industries.
Which cities in Oregon have the most H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the largest share of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, with Hillsboro and Beaverton adding significantly due to their semiconductor employer base. Salem sees activity from healthcare and state government contractors. Eugene and Corvallis have smaller but consistent demand from university-affiliated research employers and regional engineering firms.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Oregon?
Roles must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Oregon, software engineering, electrical engineering, semiconductor process roles, financial analysis, and clinical healthcare positions qualify most consistently. General management or sales roles rarely meet the field-specificity requirement USCIS applies to H-1B1 visa applications.
How do I find H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Oregon that offer sponsorship?
Migrate Mate surfaces Oregon employers with verified H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filing history, so you can focus on companies that have sponsored the visa before rather than cold-approaching employers unfamiliar with the process. Filter by Oregon location and occupation to identify active sponsors in your field, then use DOL LCA data to confirm filing recency before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
