Which electronics companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Oregon?
Intel is the largest electronics employer in Oregon and has a documented history of filing Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Other Oregon electronics employers with sponsorship activity include onsemi (formerly ON Semiconductor), Lattice Semiconductor, and various contract electronics manufacturers in the Portland-Hillsboro corridor. Sponsorship decisions are made case-by-case, so confirming active LCA filings with OFLC before applying is advisable.
Which cities in Oregon have the most electronics H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Hillsboro and the broader Portland metropolitan area account for the majority of electronics H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Oregon. Hillsboro is home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, which drives significant demand for semiconductor and hardware engineering talent. Beaverton and Tualatin also host electronics manufacturers and suppliers. Outside the metro, Corvallis has a smaller but active electronics engineering presence connected to Oregon State University research partnerships.
How do I find electronics H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type, letting you search specifically for H-1B1 visa Singapore-sponsored electronics roles in Oregon without manually screening out employers with no sponsorship history. Because Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data, you can see which Oregon electronics employers have actively filed for H-1B1 Singapore positions, narrowing your search to companies already familiar with the visa category.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that qualify are specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Oregon's electronics sector, this typically covers semiconductor process engineers, hardware design engineers, embedded software engineers, electronic test engineers, and IC layout designers. Generalist roles where any degree suffices generally do not meet the specialty occupation standard. O*NET occupation profiles can help verify whether a specific job title is classified as a specialty occupation.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal rules, but Oregon's electronics sector is heavily tied to semiconductor manufacturing, which involves export control regulations such as ITAR and EAR. Some roles at Oregon fabrication facilities may carry citizenship or residency restrictions due to these controls, which can limit sponsorship eligibility regardless of visa type. Applicants should confirm with each employer whether a given role has export control restrictions before pursuing sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore electronics jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
