Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for operations project managers?
Intel, Nike, and Daimler Trucks North America are among Oregon's most active visa sponsors for operations and project management roles. Oregon Health and Science University and PeaceHealth also sponsor for operations positions in healthcare systems. Portland-area tech firms and semiconductor manufacturers have consistent H-1B filing histories with the Department of Labor, which you can verify through publicly available LCA disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for operations project manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for operations project managers in Oregon, particularly at tech and manufacturing employers. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA if their role aligns with the management consultant or engineer categories. Australian citizens can explore the E-3 visa. Some roles at multinational firms like Nike or Intel may also qualify for L-1 intracompany transfers.
Which cities in Oregon have the most operations project manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland and the broader metro area, including Beaverton and Hillsboro, account for the majority of operations project manager sponsorship activity in Oregon. Hillsboro is particularly concentrated due to Intel's large manufacturing campus. Eugene has some presence through logistics and university-affiliated employers, but the Portland metro remains the primary hub for sponsored roles in this field.
How to find operations project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search operations project manager roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform covers employers across Portland, Beaverton, and Hillsboro, which are the core hiring markets for this role in Oregon. Filtering by state and role type on Migrate Mate narrows results to employers actively open to sponsorship.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for operations project managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are shaped by the Portland metropolitan labor market, which tends to set wage floors higher than rural Oregon benchmarks. Intel's Hillsboro campus is a significant pipeline employer and has historically sponsored a high volume of operations and engineering roles. Oregon State University and Portland State University also produce graduates who enter operations management, creating some competition for sponsored slots at established employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations project manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
