Search Sales Advisor Jobs in OregonSales Advisor Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for sales advisor roles?
Oregon's largest visa sponsors for sales-adjacent roles include Intel, Nike, Adidas North America, and enterprise software firms based in the Portland metro area. These companies have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B petitions. Smaller technology and SaaS companies in Portland's tech corridor also sponsor, though less frequently and typically for roles with a technical sales component.
Which visa types are most common for sales advisor jobs in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for sales advisor roles in Oregon, particularly for positions requiring a specialized degree such as business, marketing, or engineering. Canadian and Mexican nationals frequently use the TN visa, which has no annual lottery and covers professionals in qualifying business categories. Australian nationals may qualify for the E-3 visa, which is also lottery-free.
Which cities in Oregon have the most sales advisor visa sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of sales advisor sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of multinational headquarters and technology firms. Hillsboro, home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, also generates sponsorship opportunities in technical sales. Eugene and Bend have smaller employer pools but are growing, particularly in outdoor recreation and regional software sectors.
How to find sales advisor visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find sales advisor roles in Oregon where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship willingness, so you're not sorting through listings that exclude international candidates. Focus your search on Portland-based tech, consumer goods, and SaaS employers, which represent the strongest concentration of sponsoring companies in the state.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for sales advisor visa sponsorship?
Oregon has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage benchmarks used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications filed with the Department of Labor. Sales advisor roles in Portland's tech sector often require a demonstrably specialized skill set to qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards. Roles described broadly as general sales positions may face additional scrutiny during the petition review process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales advisor jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
