Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Tennessee
Verify your degree equivalency before applying
Chilean licenciatura degrees are evaluated case by case under H-1B1 Chile criteria. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency before targeting roles, so Tennessee employers see documentation that maps your qualification to a U.S. bachelor's degree equivalent.
Search OFLC disclosure data by Tennessee metro
Filter OFLC Labor Condition Application records by Tennessee and by H-1B1 visa status category to see which Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville employers have actually filed. This shows you which companies have sponsorship infrastructure in place, not just which ones sound plausible.
Target Tennessee's healthcare and manufacturing clusters
Nashville's hospital systems and Franklin's healthcare services corridor generate consistent specialty-occupation demand. Knoxville's advanced manufacturing base and Memphis's logistics sector also produce recurring H-1B1 Chile filings, so focus your applications on employers in those industries and metro areas.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires that H-1B1 Chile roles normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific specialty. Cross-check your target job title against the O*NET occupation profile to confirm the education requirement before accepting an offer and asking an employer to file.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified H-1B1 Chile sponsors
Search Migrate Mate to surface Tennessee employers with confirmed H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history, filtered by occupation and metro area. This cuts out companies that say they sponsor but have no DOL filing record behind that claim.
Understand the consular filing path before your offer closes
Unlike H-1B visa, the H-1B1 Chile visa is processed at a U.S. consulate in Chile, not through USCIS change-of-status. Confirm with your prospective Tennessee employer that they understand this distinction and can coordinate the LCA certification timeline before you accept the offer.

Which industries in Tennessee sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Healthcare and medical services lead H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by Nashville's large hospital networks and the broader healthcare corridor stretching into suburban Williamson County. Advanced manufacturing in the Knoxville area and logistics operations centered in Memphis also produce consistent filings, particularly for engineering, operations, and technical analyst roles.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship opportunities in Tennessee, with its healthcare, technology, and corporate services sectors generating the most Labor Condition Application filings. Knoxville and Chattanooga follow for manufacturing and engineering roles, while Memphis contributes through its logistics and distribution employers.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Tennessee?
Roles that qualify require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related specialty field. In Tennessee, this commonly includes software developers, registered nurses, financial analysts, civil and mechanical engineers, and healthcare administrators. USCIS evaluates each position individually, so the job duties and the required degree field must align clearly for the petition to succeed.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and state, showing Tennessee employers with verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history so you're not cold-applying to companies with no sponsorship track record. You can also cross-reference OFLC disclosure data directly to confirm which employers have filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 Chile positions in your target metro area.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
