Which healthcare companies in Tennessee sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
Tennessee's largest healthcare employers have documented H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filings, including HCA Healthcare, headquartered in Nashville, along with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Ascension Saint Thomas, Community Health Systems, and Tennessee Oncology. Academic medical centers affiliated with Vanderbilt and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center also sponsor Chilean professionals for specialty clinical and research roles.
Which Tennessee cities have the most healthcare H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads the state by a wide margin, driven by HCA Healthcare's global headquarters and the Vanderbilt medical complex. Memphis is a strong second, with regional health systems and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital drawing specialty talent. Knoxville, Chattanooga, and the Tri-Cities region each have active hospital networks that periodically sponsor H-1B1 visa Chile workers in clinical and allied health roles.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Tennessee?
Roles that qualify must meet the H-1B1 specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field. In Tennessee's healthcare sector, qualifying positions commonly include physicians, registered nurses with specialized credentials, physical therapists, medical laboratory scientists, radiologic technologists, health informaticists, and biomedical engineers. General aide or technician roles that do not require a specialized degree typically do not qualify.
How do I find healthcare H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type, letting you search for Tennessee healthcare roles where employers have a verified H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filing history. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who may not sponsor Chilean nationals. Narrow results by city, specialty, or job function to focus on Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville healthcare openings most relevant to your qualifications.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile healthcare sponsorship?
Tennessee does not impose additional state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B1 rules, but healthcare workers must still obtain the appropriate Tennessee state license before beginning work. For example, registered nurses need a Tennessee Board of Nursing license, and physical therapists must be licensed by the Tennessee Health Related Boards. Employers typically require proof of licensure or eligibility before initiating the LCA filing process with DOL.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile healthcare jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
