Which companies sponsor visas for tax analysts in Tennessee?
Several large Tennessee employers have a track record of sponsoring work visas for tax analyst roles. These include HCA Healthcare and its affiliates in Nashville, FedEx in Memphis, and professional services firms such as Deloitte, EY, and KPMG with Tennessee offices. Large regional banks and insurance companies headquartered in Nashville also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for tax-related positions.
Which visa types are most common for tax analyst roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for tax analysts in Tennessee, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa category, which explicitly lists accountants as an eligible profession.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most tax analyst sponsorship jobs?
Nashville generates the highest volume of tax analyst sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare corporations, financial services companies, and regional headquarters for professional services firms. Memphis is a secondary hub, particularly through logistics and supply chain employers. Knoxville and Chattanooga have smaller but active markets, often connected to manufacturing and energy sector employers in the region.
How to find tax analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to find tax analyst positions in Tennessee without sorting through listings that exclude international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings at Tennessee employers across Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville who have sponsored visas for tax and accounting professionals.
Are there state-specific considerations for tax analysts seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks and how tax analysts apply their skills locally. For sponsorship purposes, employers must still meet federal prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor for the specific metropolitan area, such as the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro MSA or Memphis MSA. Tennessee's strong healthcare and logistics sectors mean tax analyst roles here often involve industry-specific tax experience, which can strengthen a sponsorship petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored tax analyst jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
