Search Audit Manager Jobs in TexasAudit Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for audit managers in Texas?
The most consistent sponsors for audit managers in Texas include the Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), large financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, and energy companies such as ExxonMobil and Chevron with major Texas operations. Large healthcare systems including HCA Healthcare and regional banks headquartered in Dallas and Houston also have established sponsorship track records for experienced audit professionals.
Which visa types are most common for audit manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for audit managers in Texas, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation typically requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through multinational firms, particularly the Big Four, can transfer to Texas offices without entering the H-1B lottery. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials.
How to find audit manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find audit manager roles in Texas where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship willingness, so you are not sorting through hundreds of listings manually. Focus your search on Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, where the highest concentration of sponsored audit manager roles appears, particularly within financial services, energy, and professional services firms.
Which cities in Texas have the most audit manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads Texas for audit manager sponsorship opportunities, anchored by the regional headquarters of major accounting firms and financial institutions in downtown Dallas and Plano. Houston is the second-largest market, driven by energy sector internal audit functions and healthcare system compliance needs. Austin is growing steadily as technology companies mature and build internal audit teams, though it remains smaller than DFW and Houston for this specific role.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for audit manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from states like California or New York at the same base salary. Employers sponsoring H-1B audit managers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, and DFW and Houston have distinct wage tiers. Texas A&M, UT Austin, and Rice University also produce a pipeline of accounting talent that some firms recruit internationally to supplement.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audit manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
