DESCRIPTION
The Sales Planning and Compensation (SPC) team designs integrated sales planning processes and sales compensation programs to activate AWS' Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. SPC manages annual planning, in-year adjustments, and sales compensation design to align seller incentives with AWS' strategic priorities.
We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our organization. In this role, you will support strategic initiatives and build annual rhythms that enable critical programs for sales planning and compensation that impact sales teams globally. This role will establish the shared operational rhythms, project management practices, launch tracking, and goals reporting that add predictability and transparency across the organization — giving leadership a clear view of what we're delivering and whether we're on track. You will work across our teams to build visibility and create the connective tissue that enables our organization to manage a complex portfolio with confidence.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive execution of strategic planning and operational cadences for the Sales Planning & Compensation organization, including weekly/monthly business reviews, and launch tracking.
- Build and maintain operational frameworks, governance models, and reporting that give leadership a clear view of organizational performance and launch readiness.
- Serve as the interface with SPC program teams to design and implement tools, workflows, and reporting frameworks that help teams move faster and make better decisions at scale.
- Own and manage complex operational problems, solving them through data analysis, stakeholder alignment, and clear action plans.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, influencing without authority to drive alignment and achieve business outcomes.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
A day in the life
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the operational rhythms and project management practices that keep our Sales Planning & Compensation organization running on track. This includes managing business review cadences, maintaining goal tracking and launch readiness reporting, and coordinating across SPC program teams to ensure visibility into progress and priorities. You will flex between standing operational processes — such as weekly and monthly reviews — and ad hoc problem-solving when priorities shift or ambiguity arises. Your work will bring predictability and transparency to a complex portfolio of programs, enabling leadership and program teams to make faster, better-informed decisions.

Which companies sponsor visas for business operations managers in Texas?
Large multinational employers account for the majority of business operations manager sponsorships in Texas. In Houston, energy companies including ExxonMobil, Chevron Phillips Chemical, and Shell regularly sponsor operations roles. In Dallas-Fort Worth, corporate headquarters like AT&T, American Airlines, and Toyota North America do the same. Austin's technology sector, including Dell, Apple, and Oracle, also sponsors international candidates for operations management positions.
Which visa types are most common for business operations manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for business operations managers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A intracompany transferee status are another significant segment, particularly within large multinationals headquartered or regionally based in Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
Which cities in Texas have the most business operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads Texas for business operations manager sponsorship volume, given its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional corporate offices. Houston ranks second, driven by the energy, petrochemical, and logistics industries. Austin has grown significantly as a sponsorship market due to technology sector expansion. San Antonio and Round Rock also see activity, primarily from healthcare systems and manufacturing operations.
How to find business operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly by role and state to browse business operations manager positions in Texas from employers with documented sponsorship history. This saves time compared to filtering through general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely confirmed upfront, which matters when you're working within a visa timeline.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for business operations manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since DOL wage determinations are based on the metropolitan statistical area, not state tax treatment. Houston, Dallas, and Austin each fall under separate prevailing wage benchmarks, so a sponsoring employer in Austin may offer a different wage level than one in Houston for the same role title. University pipelines from UT Austin, Rice University, and Texas A&M also feed internationally recruited talent into operations roles across the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business operations manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
