Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for data engineering managers?
Several large Texas-based employers have consistent sponsorship track records for data engineering managers, including Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T and Texas Instruments in Dallas, Oracle and Apple in Austin, and ExxonMobil and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Houston. Financial services firms like Charles Schwab and technology-forward healthcare companies also hire for these roles with H-1B visa sponsorship support.
Which visa types are most common for data engineering manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data engineering managers in Texas, as the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A. Those already holding L-1A visas through a multinational employer may also transition into data engineering manager roles within the same corporate family.
Which cities in Texas have the most data engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for data engineering manager sponsorship activity, driven by its dense concentration of tech companies and regional headquarters. Dallas follows closely, particularly in financial services and telecom sectors. Houston offers opportunities tied to energy sector digital transformation and healthcare data initiatives. San Antonio has a growing cybersecurity and government IT presence that generates demand for data leadership roles.
How to find data engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for data engineering manager roles in Texas without wading through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job category to surface relevant openings from employers who have demonstrated sponsorship history for data and engineering leadership positions.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for data engineering managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects the prevailing wage calculation employers use for H-1B Labor Condition Applications since compensation benchmarks are set at the federal and metropolitan area level rather than by state tax treatment. Austin and Dallas are classified as higher-wage metropolitan areas by the Department of Labor, meaning H-1B prevailing wage requirements for data engineering manager roles there reflect competitive market rates. Texas's large university system, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, also feeds local employer pipelines with qualified candidates, so sponsoring employers in this state are well-accustomed to the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data engineering manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
