Which companies sponsor visas for iOS software engineers in Texas?
Several large employers in Texas have a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for iOS software engineers. Apple's Austin campus, Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T in Dallas, and a range of fintech companies like Carvana and Q2 Holdings regularly file Labor Condition Applications for mobile engineering roles. Health tech firms in the Texas Medical Center in Houston also hire iOS engineers with sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for iOS software engineer roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for iOS software engineers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may also qualify under the TN visa. Australians with relevant qualifications may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Texas have the most iOS software engineer sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for iOS software engineer sponsorship activity, driven by its dense concentration of tech employers and startups. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong demand from enterprise software, fintech, and telecom companies. Houston has a growing mobile engineering market tied to energy tech and health tech. San Antonio has a smaller but active tech sector with some sponsoring employers, particularly in cybersecurity and defense.
How to find ios software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse iOS software engineer roles in Texas without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings from Texas employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves time compared to manually researching company sponsorship histories across general job boards.
Are there state-specific considerations for iOS software engineers seeking sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which influences how employers structure compensation and can affect prevailing wage calculations used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wages by metropolitan area, so rates differ across Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Texas also has strong university pipelines from UT Austin and Texas A&M that feed local tech employers, meaning competition for sponsorship roles can be significant in those markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ios software engineer jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
