Which companies sponsor visas for sales assistants in Texas?
Large employers with established HR and immigration infrastructure are the most consistent sponsors. In Texas, this includes major retailers headquartered in or operating large regional offices in Dallas and Houston, technology companies in Austin's tech corridor, and energy firms concentrated in Houston. National chains with Texas headquarters, such as AT&T and Dell, have sponsored sales-related roles in the past.
Which visa types are most common for sales assistant roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for sales assistant roles that require a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing or business. However, not all sales assistant positions qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may explore TN status under the USMCA. Australian nationals may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales assistant sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas have the highest concentration of sales assistant sponsorship opportunities in Texas, driven by their large corporate headquarters and regional office populations. Austin has grown significantly as a tech hub, with companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon maintaining large presences there. San Antonio also offers opportunities, particularly in retail and healthcare-adjacent sales support functions.
How to find sales assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter by role and state, making it straightforward to find sales assistant jobs in Texas where employers are open to sponsoring. The platform focuses exclusively on sponsorship-eligible positions, so you are not sorting through listings that exclude international applicants.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales assistant sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure total compensation packages for sponsored roles. The state's size means prevailing wage determinations vary meaningfully between metro areas, with Houston and Austin generally registering higher Department of Labor prevailing wages for sales roles than smaller markets. Candidates with ties to Texas universities, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, sometimes have an easier path connecting with in-state employers open to sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales assistant jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
