Which companies sponsor visas for sales managers in Texas?
Large technology and enterprise software companies with Texas headquarters or major offices are among the most active sponsors, including Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T in Dallas, and IBM's Texas operations. Energy sector companies such as ExxonMobil and Chevron Phillips Chemical also sponsor sales managers, particularly for industrial and B2B sales roles serving the petrochemical and oilfield services industries.
Which visa types are most common for sales manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for sales managers in Texas when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or engineering. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also common for managers moving from a foreign affiliate to a Texas office. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and renews indefinitely.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state in sales manager sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and technology firms. Houston follows closely due to its energy, healthcare, and logistics industries. Austin has grown significantly as a sponsorship market, particularly in software and SaaS sales, with companies like Oracle, Google, and Apple maintaining large commercial operations there.
How to find sales manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse sales manager roles in Texas without manually screening hundreds of postings. The platform surfaces employers who have an active sponsorship history, which is particularly useful in Texas where sponsorship patterns vary significantly between the energy, technology, and healthcare sectors. Searching by city also helps narrow results to the markets most relevant to your background.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sales manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and total compensation benchmarking under H-1B Labor Condition Application requirements. The state's size means sponsorship activity is heavily concentrated in a few metros, so candidates targeting smaller Texas markets may find fewer sponsoring employers. Texas's strong university pipeline from UT Austin, Texas A&M, and Rice University also means competition for sponsorship roles can be high in major cities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
