Which companies sponsor visas for project management specialists in Utah?
Utah employers with active histories of sponsoring work visas for project management specialists include Intermountain Health, Adobe, Ancestry, Pluralsight, and major defense contractors such as Northrop Grumman and L3Harris. Technology firms in the Silicon Slopes corridor along the Wasatch Front account for a significant share of sponsorship activity, alongside large healthcare systems and government-adjacent contractors.
Which visa types are most common for project management specialist roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management specialists in Utah, given that the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may pursue TN status under USMCA if the role aligns with eligible classifications.
Which cities in Utah have the most project management specialist sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and the broader Wasatch Front, including Provo, Orem, and Lehi, concentrate the majority of project management specialist visa sponsorship opportunities in Utah. Lehi's Silicon Slopes technology hub is particularly active. Ogden also sees some demand, primarily through manufacturing, defense, and logistics employers operating in the northern part of the state.
How to find project management specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including project management specialist positions in Utah. You can filter by state and job category to surface employers with documented sponsorship histories in the Salt Lake City metro and Silicon Slopes area. Focusing your search on tech, healthcare, and defense sectors in Utah gives you the strongest pool of active sponsoring employers.
Are there state-specific factors that affect project management specialist sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's rapid tech sector growth along the Silicon Slopes corridor has increased employer familiarity with H-1B sponsorship, making it more common among mid-sized companies than in less active markets. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University both produce project management and business graduates, creating local competition. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Salt Lake City or Provo metropolitan areas, which vary by experience level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management specialist jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
