INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
ABOUT THE TEAM
We exist to improve Product leaders’ understanding and decision-making on how to profitably grow the business. Our North Star is to increase workload contribution margin dollars above the current forecast by serving as an objective, full-stack business partner. We do this by measuring key metrics, inferring actionable insights, catalyzing strategic decisions, and accelerating operational efficiency across Product, Engineering, and Sales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of product strategy and financial analysis, giving you a unique vantage point to influence how we scale our business. We aren't looking for someone to just execute tasks and pull data; we need a partner who can navigate ambiguity, drive workstreams, and anticipate the next steps. This role is best for proactive problem-solvers with business intuition and a high level of curiosity. You will work on critical projects and collaborate with executives to turn complex data into decisive action.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop & Maintain Financial Models: Build and iterate on financial models that track both revenue and cost drivers, enabling accurate forecasting and real-time visibility into workload contribution margins.
- Drive Revenue & Margin Insights: Analyze historical and forward-looking trends for revenue, COGS, and margin to provide actionable recommendations that influence pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive Pricing Strategy Decisions: Own and evolve pricing strategy across products and workloads by analyzing usage patterns, customer segments, and willingness to pay. Develop data-driven pricing and packaging recommendations that balance growth and margin, and run experiments to validate pricing changes. Partner closely with Product, Finance, and Sales to operationalize pricing, measure impact, and continuously optimize monetization strategies.
- Partner with PMs and Sales: Collaborate with Engineering, Product Managers and Sales to evaluate new product features or market opportunities. Support business case development by providing data-driven insights into revenue potential and profitability. Communicate complex technical or financial concepts in a succinct, easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven Insights (SQL): Find the "why" behind the numbers. You will go beyond the surface by mastering our complex data structures and business drivers. By learning to navigate our schemas and tables, you’ll be able to ensure that you deliver timely and accurate insights.
- Accelerate Insights with AI: Leverage Snowflake Intelligence and AISQL daily to automate manual reporting and speed up your insight discovery process. You will use our native AI features to streamline complex workflows, allowing you to focus less on manual data prep and more on driving strategic insights.
- Build Scalable Reporting & Tooling: Translate your data findings into automated, high-visibility dashboards that Product and Finance leaders rely on for decision making. The dashboards you build will be maintained by Snowflake’s business intelligence team.
- Optimize Cloud Spend & Infrastructure: While revenue is your focus, you’ll also identify and resolve abnormalities in infrastructure spend to maintain healthy margins. Provide recommendations to reduce COGS/OpEx and improve cost efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 2–5 Years of Experience: Background in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Data Analytics. Experience in SaaS, Cloud, Data, or Fintech environments—especially partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales—is strongly preferred.
- Strong Financial & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to build financial models, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Agility (SQL preferred, but not required): You have a high aptitude for navigating technical systems and data structures. While you don’t need to be a SQL expert on day one, you possess the ability to quickly become proficient in understanding complex schemas and data logic. Any prior experience with coding languages is a significant plus.
- Revenue & Margin Analysis Experience: Experience analyzing revenue, COGS, and margin trends. Familiarity with Salesforce or other GTM systems to reason about historical and forward-looking trends is highly beneficial.
- Ownership & Problem-Solving Mindset: Adept at working through ambiguity and taking initiative. Anticipate next steps, coordinate with stakeholders, and push projects forward.
- Exceptional Communication: Able to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting to VP/C-level leadership.
- Continuous Improvement Mentality: You’re always looking for ways to optimize. The first version of your work is never your last—you believe there’s always a better way.
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake. How do you want to make your impact?

Which companies in Washington sponsor visas for finance analysts?
Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, and Expedia are among Washington's most active H-1B sponsors for finance analyst roles, based on Department of Labor disclosure data. Starbucks, T-Mobile, and Costco also file petitions for finance positions. Seattle-area technology companies tend to have established immigration programs, making them more predictable sponsors compared to smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance analysts in Washington, as financial analysis meets the specialty occupation requirement given its typical bachelor's degree minimum in finance, accounting, or economics. Some candidates, particularly from Australia, use the E-3 visa. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa category, which lists financial analysts as an eligible profession.
Which cities in Washington have the most finance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the large majority of finance analyst visa sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major technology employers. Bellevue and Redmond also have significant hiring activity, particularly through Microsoft and Amazon's satellite offices. Tacoma and Spokane have smaller finance job markets with fewer employers offering visa sponsorship.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters finance analyst jobs in Washington specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sifting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. The platform covers H-1B, E-3, and TN-eligible roles across Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces active openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories in finance.
Are there state-specific factors that affect finance analyst sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations that employers must certify when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B sponsorship. Seattle's high cost of living pushes prevailing wages upward, meaning employers must offer compensation meeting Department of Labor wage levels for the area. Washington's strong university pipeline from the University of Washington also means employers are accustomed to hiring and sponsoring international graduates for finance roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
