Which companies sponsor visas for product development managers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, T-Mobile, Expedia, and Tableau (now part of Salesforce) are among the Washington employers with a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for product development managers. The Seattle metro area concentrates the highest volume of sponsoring employers, particularly in cloud computing, e-commerce, aerospace, and enterprise software. Consulting firms with Washington offices also file sponsorships for this role.
Which visa types are most common for product development manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common work visa for product development managers in Washington, as the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1A visas apply to managers transferring from an overseas office of the same company. Candidates with extraordinary recognition in their field may qualify for an O-1A.
Which cities in Washington have the most product development manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and its Eastside suburbs, particularly Bellevue and Redmond, account for the large majority of product development manager sponsorship jobs in Washington. Redmond is home to Microsoft's headquarters, and Amazon's campus anchors Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. Smaller concentrations exist in Kirkland, Bothell, and the Puget Sound corridor, where aerospace and biotech companies also hire for this role.
How to find product development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship jobs, including product development manager roles in Washington. You can filter by state and role to see employers actively hiring with sponsorship. Because Washington's tech sector is large, new postings appear frequently. Filtering by sponsorship history helps you focus on companies that have filed H-1B petitions for this type of role before.
Are there state-specific considerations for product development managers seeking visa sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects the prevailing wage calculations employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications with the Department of Labor. The Seattle metro area falls under its own wage determination zone, typically reflecting higher prevailing wages than national averages for this role. University of Washington and Washington State University produce strong engineering pipelines that some employers also recruit internationally, particularly for roles requiring advanced technical expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product development manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
