Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient and resident care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like Level I trauma centers or teaching hospitals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License and Vehicle are required.
- Valid certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), PCA (Patient Care Assistant), or DCA (Dietary Care Assistant).
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.
- Strong communication skills coupled with compassion and patience when caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, behavioral health needs or disabilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely.
Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
