Which companies sponsor visas for C.N.A.s in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's largest health systems, including UPMC, Penn Medicine, Jefferson Health, and Geisinger Health System, have histories of sponsoring international healthcare workers. Long-term care operators such as Genesis Healthcare, which has a significant Pennsylvania presence, also hire C.N.A.s. Sponsorship is more common at large hospital networks and corporate-owned skilled nursing facilities than at small independent care homes.
Which visa types are most common for C.N.A. roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B visa is generally not available for C.N.A. roles because the position typically does not meet the specialty occupation requirement of a bachelor's degree in a specific field. International C.N.A.s more commonly work under the EB-3 immigrant visa category, which covers skilled and unskilled workers, or through the TN visa for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most C.N.A. sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia leads the state in C.N.A. demand, driven by its dense concentration of academic medical centers and long-term care facilities. Pittsburgh is a strong secondary market anchored by UPMC's sprawling regional footprint. Allentown, Harrisburg, and Scranton also see consistent hiring, particularly in skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings that serve Pennsylvania's large rural and suburban senior populations.
How to find c.n.a. visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international job seekers who need visa sponsorship, and it lets you filter C.N.A. roles by state so you can browse Pennsylvania opportunities directly. Because sponsorship availability is not always advertised clearly, using a platform focused on sponsorship-confirmed listings saves significant time compared to sorting through general healthcare job postings manually.
What state-specific considerations apply to C.N.A. visa sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania requires C.N.A.s to complete a state-approved training program and pass the state competency exam before working independently. International candidates must ensure their credentials are evaluated and meet Pennsylvania Department of Health standards. Employers sponsoring workers through the EB-3 category must also complete a PERM labor certification, confirming that no qualified U.S. workers were available for the position at the time of filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored c.n.a. jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
