Which companies sponsor visas for consulting analysts in Wisconsin?
Deloitte, Accenture, and Huron Consulting have sponsored consulting analyst roles in Wisconsin, particularly in Milwaukee. Larger healthcare and insurance organizations, including Aurora Health Care and Northwestern Mutual, also hire consulting analysts and have filed for H-1B visa sponsorship in the past. Mid-size management consulting firms operating out of Madison occasionally sponsor as well, though at lower volumes than national firms.
Which visa types are most common for consulting analyst roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for consulting analyst positions in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, economics, or a technical discipline, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify under the TN visa category, both of which bypass the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most consulting analyst sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary market for consulting analyst sponsorship, home to the state's largest concentration of professional services firms and corporate headquarters. Madison comes second, driven by the University of Wisconsin's research ecosystem and a growing technology and healthcare consulting sector. Green Bay and Waukesha see limited sponsorship activity, primarily from large manufacturers seeking operations or process improvement analysts.
How to find consulting analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify consulting analyst openings in Wisconsin without sorting through roles that won't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface positions from Milwaukee and Madison employers. Migrate Mate also provides context on which firms have a history of sponsoring consulting roles in the region.
Are there any state-specific considerations for consulting analyst sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's consulting analyst market is closely tied to its dominant industries: healthcare, insurance, and manufacturing. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan areas, which are calculated separately from national benchmarks. Candidates coming through the University of Wisconsin system on OPT have a natural pipeline into local consulting firms, particularly those with campus recruiting programs in Madison.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consulting analyst jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
