Which companies sponsor visas for consulting analysts in Massachusetts?
Large management consulting firms with significant Boston offices, including Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Bain, and McKinsey, have documented histories of sponsoring H-1B visas for consulting analyst roles. Mid-size strategy and technology consultancies serving Massachusetts's life sciences and financial services sectors also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for consulting analyst roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for consulting analysts in Massachusetts, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, engineering, or information systems. Candidates from Australia may also be eligible for the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the USMCA.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most consulting analyst sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the largest share of consulting analyst sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by its concentration of professional services firms, financial institutions, and healthcare organizations. Cambridge is a secondary hub, particularly for consultancies serving biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Worcester and Burlington also have a smaller but active presence, largely tied to technology and healthcare consulting.
How to find consulting analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate lets you filter consulting analyst roles in Massachusetts specifically by visa sponsorship, so you're not sorting through postings from employers who won't support international candidates. Given how competitive Boston-area consulting roles are, narrowing your search to confirmed sponsoring employers early saves significant time. Migrate Mate's job board is updated regularly with postings relevant to this role and state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect consulting analyst visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts's strong university pipeline, particularly from MIT, Harvard, and Boston University, means many consulting analyst candidates enter on F-1 OPT before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. Employers in the state's life sciences corridor are often accustomed to this pathway. The prevailing wage requirement for LCA filings in the Boston metropolitan area reflects the region's above-average compensation levels for this role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consulting analyst jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
