Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for finance managers?
Several large Wisconsin employers have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for finance roles. Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, American Family Insurance in Madison, and Kohler Co. in Kohler are among the most active. Large healthcare systems like Advocate Aurora Health and educational institutions like the University of Wisconsin also sponsor finance managers with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for finance manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B visa is the most common path for international finance managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may be eligible for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA economist or accountant category, which involves a simpler process.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most finance manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the leading city for finance manager sponsorship in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and fintech employers. Madison follows closely, supported by state government institutions, the University of Wisconsin system, and a growing tech sector. Green Bay and Appleton also see demand tied to manufacturing and regional financial services firms operating in the Fox Valley.
How to find finance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find finance manager roles in Wisconsin where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-willing employers, saving the time of screening postings manually. Focusing your search on Milwaukee and Madison, where Wisconsin's financial services industry is densest, will return the most relevant results for finance manager positions.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for finance manager visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's finance manager market is heavily shaped by its insurance and manufacturing base, meaning sponsoring employers often expect candidates with sector-relevant experience, not just general corporate finance backgrounds. The Department of Labor prevailing wage requirement applies statewide, and wage levels for finance managers vary between Milwaukee metro and smaller Wisconsin markets, which can affect which employers are positioned to sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
