Which companies sponsor visas for manufacturing operations managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in manufacturing operations include Kohler Co. in Kohler, Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, Bemis Manufacturing in Sheboygan Falls, and SC Johnson in Racine. Larger industrial conglomerates and Tier 1 automotive suppliers operating in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee metro areas have also sponsored operations management roles through the PERM labor certification process.
Which visa types are most common for manufacturing operations manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for manufacturing operations managers in Wisconsin, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related field. Some candidates with specialized expertise pursue the O-1A for extraordinary ability. Canadian and Mexican nationals holding qualifying engineering credentials may also be eligible for TN status under the USMCA professional category.
How to find manufacturing operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor work visas, including manufacturing operations manager positions across Wisconsin. Rather than sorting through general job boards manually, you can search Migrate Mate to surface Wisconsin-based roles in production, plant management, and industrial operations that are open to international candidates requiring sponsorship.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most manufacturing operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, home to large industrial employers and corporate headquarters with dedicated HR teams experienced in visa sponsorship. Racine and Kenosha benefit from proximity to the Chicago supply chain corridor. Green Bay and Appleton in the Fox Valley are strong markets for food processing and paper manufacturing operations roles. Sheboygan and Oshkosh also see consistent demand tied to precision and specialty manufacturing.
What should international candidates know about manufacturing operations manager roles in Wisconsin specifically?
Wisconsin manufacturing operations manager positions often require hands-on plant experience rather than purely technical credentials, so employers typically expect candidates to demonstrate cross-functional leadership in production environments. The state's concentration in food and beverage, plastics, and heavy machinery means domain-specific experience strengthens applications. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply based on the specific county and occupation code, which employers determine during the Labor Condition Application filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manufacturing operations manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
