Which companies sponsor visas for product architects in Wisconsin?
Milwaukee-based financial technology and insurance firms are among the most active sponsors. Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, and American Family Insurance have histories of H-1B visa filings for senior technical and architecture roles. In Madison, Epic Systems is a well-known sponsor for technology positions. Smaller software and healthtech companies across the state also sponsor product architects, though less frequently than these larger employers.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product architects in Wisconsin, as the role requires specialized knowledge in systems design and typically meets the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with an advanced degree and exceptional recognition in their field may qualify for the O-1A. Those transferring within a multinational company may be eligible for the L-1A or L-1B, depending on their managerial or specialized knowledge status.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial services and insurance technology employers. Madison follows closely, with Epic Systems and a growing university-adjacent tech sector anchoring demand. Green Bay has a smaller but present pool of technology roles at regional employers. For product architects specifically, Milwaukee and Madison account for the large majority of visa sponsorship activity in the state.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including product architect positions in Wisconsin. You can filter by role and state to surface employers who have a documented history of sponsoring visas for technical architecture positions. This makes it meaningfully more efficient than searching general job boards where sponsorship willingness is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for product architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B roles are determined by the Department of Labor based on the metropolitan statistical area where the job is located, with Milwaukee and Madison having distinct wage levels. The state's strong university pipeline from the University of Wisconsin-Madison produces graduates who feed into local employers, meaning competition for architecture-level roles tends to favor candidates with several years of post-degree experience and demonstrable systems design ownership.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
