Which companies sponsor visas for product architects in South Carolina?
Established technology employers in South Carolina with a history of H-1B sponsorship include Bosch, Michelin's North American headquarters in Greenville, and Blackbaud, a software company headquartered in Charleston. Larger healthcare IT firms and financial technology companies operating in Columbia and the greater Charleston metro also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for product architect and related senior technical roles.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product architect roles in South Carolina, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through multinational employers with South Carolina offices may also transfer into product architect roles. O-1A is an option for candidates with exceptional ability, though it requires a stronger evidence package.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Charleston leads South Carolina for product architect sponsorship activity, driven by its expanding technology and fintech sector. Greenville is the second-strongest market, anchored by European manufacturers like Michelin and BMW's North American operations nearby, which generate enterprise technology demand. Columbia, as the state capital and home to University of South Carolina, also hosts healthcare IT and government technology employers that hire at the product architect level.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for product architect roles in South Carolina without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates and surfaces roles from companies with documented sponsorship activity. Filtering by state and role title on Migrate Mate is a direct way to identify active opportunities in Charleston, Greenville, and Columbia.
Are there state-specific considerations for product architects seeking sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina does not have state-level visa or work authorization programs, so sponsorship follows standard federal H-1B and related processes. One relevant factor is that prevailing wage determinations for product architect roles vary by metropolitan area: Charleston and Greenville wages are benchmarked separately from rural South Carolina markets, which can affect the wage level your employer must certify on the Labor Condition Application. Candidates should confirm their offer location maps to the correct prevailing wage area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
