Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for product architects?
Louisville-based companies are the primary source of product architect sponsorship in Kentucky. Humana, one of the largest health insurers in the U.S., regularly files H-1B visa petitions for technical product roles. Other active sponsors have included Tempur-Pedic, Kindred Healthcare, and regional financial technology firms. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in Louisville, with smaller pockets in Lexington tied to healthcare IT and manufacturing technology.
What visa types are most commonly used for product architect roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product architects in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related technical field. Australian citizens may pursue the E-3 visa instead, which has no annual lottery. Candidates already holding L-1A or O-1 visa status may also find Kentucky employers willing to support a transfer or extension.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify Kentucky employers actively hiring product architects who need work authorization support. Because product architect is a senior, specialized role, listings in Kentucky are fewer than in coastal tech markets, so setting up alerts and checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the best chance of catching new openings as they appear.
Which cities in Kentucky offer the most product architect sponsorship opportunities?
Louisville is by far the strongest market for product architect roles with visa sponsorship in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of large employers in healthcare, insurance, and logistics technology. Lexington offers a smaller secondary market, particularly through companies connected to the University of Kentucky research ecosystem. Outside these two cities, sponsored product architect positions are rare in Kentucky's current hiring environment.
Are there state-specific considerations for product architects seeking sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, but product architects here should be aware that the market skews heavily toward healthcare IT and supply chain technology. Employers sponsoring these roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage obligations for the Louisville or Lexington metro areas, which are calculated separately from national or coastal benchmarks and reflect regional cost-of-labor data.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
