Which companies in Idaho sponsor visas for product architects?
Micron Technology in Boise is one of Idaho's most consistent H-1B sponsors for senior technical roles, including product architects. HP Inc. and several Boise-based SaaS and fintech companies have also filed LCAs for product and systems architecture positions. Idaho's tech employer base is smaller than coastal hubs, so sponsored roles are concentrated among established mid-to-large firms with existing immigration infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product architects in Idaho, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN status under the USMCA. Experienced professionals with exceptional recognition may also explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial evidence of distinction.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify product architect roles in Idaho without manually screening each posting. Because Idaho has a smaller tech market than states like California or Washington, sponsoring employers can be harder to surface through general searches. Migrate Mate's board focuses on roles where employers have demonstrated willingness to sponsor, which is especially useful in a market this size.
Which cities in Idaho have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Boise accounts for the large majority of product architect opportunities in Idaho. The Boise metro has seen meaningful growth in semiconductor, fintech, and enterprise software companies, making it the clear center of gravity for technical leadership roles in the state. Meridian and Nampa, as part of the broader Treasure Valley, have also seen employer expansion, though sponsored product architect roles there remain less common than in Boise proper.
Are there any Idaho-specific considerations for product architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Idaho's Department of Labor prevailing wage data for product architect roles reflects the Boise metro market, which employers must reference when filing a Labor Condition Application. Because Idaho has fewer large-scale tech employers than coastal states, the pool of companies actively filing H-1B petitions for senior architecture roles is narrower. Candidates should focus outreach on companies with established legal and HR infrastructure, as smaller Idaho startups less frequently have prior H-1B sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
