Which companies in Delaware sponsor visas for product architects?
Financial institutions with significant Wilmington presences, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Barclays, have a consistent track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for senior technical roles like product architects. Life sciences companies such as Incyte and AstraZeneca, along with technology-forward firms in the DuPont ecosystem, also appear regularly in Department of Labor H-1B disclosure data for Delaware-based positions.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most widely used visa for product architect roles in Delaware, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. Candidates with extraordinary recognition in product or systems architecture may explore the O-1A. Australians may qualify for the E-3, and Canadians and Mexicans may consider the TN visa under the systems analyst category.
Which cities in Delaware have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the overwhelming majority of product architect sponsorship activity in Delaware, driven by its concentration of financial services headquarters, technology firms, and pharmaceutical companies. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and a growing tech corridor, sees secondary hiring activity. Dover, as the state capital, offers some opportunities with government-adjacent technology contractors, though at much lower volume than Wilmington.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product architect roles in Delaware where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through unverified listings, you can search directly for product architect positions in Delaware on Migrate Mate and see which employers have a documented history of H-1B or other visa filings for comparable roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product architects seeking visa sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's incorporation advantages attract a disproportionate number of holding companies and legal-tech firms that may list Delaware addresses but conduct most engineering work remotely or in other states, which can affect the work-site location on a Labor Condition Application. For roles at financial services firms in Wilmington, employers typically file LCAs reflecting the Delaware prevailing wage for computer occupations, which the Department of Labor determines from Bureau of Labor Statistics regional data. Confirming the actual work location before applying is important for LCA compliance.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
