Search Support Associate Jobs in WisconsinSupport Associate Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for support associates?
Wisconsin employers with documented visa sponsorship histories for support roles include UW Health, Epic Systems, Fiserv, Advocate Aurora Health, and Northwestern Mutual. Large healthcare networks and financial technology firms in Milwaukee and Madison tend to file the most Labor Condition Applications for support-oriented positions, as they have established HR infrastructure to manage the sponsorship process.
Which visa types are most common for support associate roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for support associate positions that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as IT support or technical account management. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. Some support roles in healthcare or education may qualify under H-1B visa cap-exempt institutions, which includes certain Wisconsin university systems and nonprofit hospitals.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most support associate sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the majority of visa-sponsored support associate positions in Wisconsin. Madison benefits from Epic Systems' large workforce and the University of Wisconsin's tech ecosystem, while Milwaukee's concentration of financial services firms like Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual generates steady demand. Green Bay and Appleton see smaller volumes, primarily through healthcare and manufacturing employers.
How to find support associate visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find support associate roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by location to focus on Madison, Milwaukee, or other Wisconsin cities, and filter by role type to surface support associate openings where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor international candidates.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for support associates seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are determined by Department of Labor data for each metropolitan area, so compensation expectations differ between Madison, Milwaukee, and smaller markets like Eau Claire or Wausau. The UW System's campus pipeline also means some support roles at university-affiliated employers may fall under cap-exempt H-1B filings, which avoids the annual lottery entirely and allows year-round petition filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored support associate jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
