Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through final completion, ensuring financial performance, scheduling accuracy, and overall project execution align with New Peak’s standards.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and detail-oriented leader with extensive experience in single-family, high-density residential, and commercial construction, a proven ability to manage budgets and timelines through complex build cycles, and a track record of strong communication, subcontractor coordination, and proactive problem-solving throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from pre-construction planning through project closeout
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and milestones
- Prepare, track, and manage project budgets and cost reporting
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with project plan
- Manage contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact schedule or budget
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting systems
- Support inspections, punch lists, and final project closeout
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred (not required for candidates with significant experience)
- Strong knowledge of residential, multifamily, and/or commercial construction methods
- Experience managing single-family, high-density residential, and commercial construction projects
- Proven experience in budget management and cost control
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Familiarity with JobTread, Monday.com, or similar software
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check (required)
- Comfortable with basic technology
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to visit and navigate active construction job sites in all weather conditions
- Must be able to traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs/scaffolding in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods
