Target SaaS and enterprise software employers
Companies in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software sponsor Partner Success Managers at higher rates than other industries. These employers have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B petitions for client-facing roles requiring specialized business knowledge.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires that a Partner Success Manager position specifically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, not just prefer one. Job listings that say 'degree preferred' instead of 'required' can complicate your H-1B petition and should be clarified before applying.
Highlight technical product knowledge in your resume
Employers sponsoring Partner Success Managers need to demonstrate the role requires specialized knowledge. Emphasizing your technical fluency with specific platforms, APIs, or integrations strengthens both your candidacy and the employer's case for H-1B specialty occupation classification.
Ask about sponsorship before the final interview round
Raise the sponsorship question after an initial screen but before investing in multiple interview rounds. Framing it as a straightforward process question, not a burden, helps. Many employers who sponsor routinely appreciate candidates who understand the basics of their own visa situation.
Consider employers with existing H-1B filing histories
Companies that have filed H-1B petitions in previous years are far more likely to sponsor again. Publicly available Department of Labor disclosure data shows which employers have sponsored similar roles, giving you a practical filter before reaching out or applying.
Use Migrate Mate to find roles open to sponsorship
Migrate Mate filters Partner Success Manager jobs by sponsorship willingness, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is a non-starter. Browsing by visa type helps you focus your applications on employers actively hiring international candidates for this role.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Partner Success Manager role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, if the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, communications, or a related discipline. The key USCIS requirement is that the degree must be a minimum entry requirement for the role, not simply preferred. Employers in SaaS and enterprise software typically structure these job descriptions to meet that standard, but it varies by company and how the role is defined internally.
What degree do I need to work as a Partner Success Manager on a visa?
Most H-1B visa petitions for Partner Success Manager roles are supported by degrees in business administration, marketing, communications, or management information systems. A degree in an unrelated field can still work if you have substantial coursework or experience directly tied to the role. USCIS evaluates degree relevance on a case-by-case basis, so a credential evaluation may help if your degree is from outside the U.S.
Do many companies sponsor Partner Success Managers for visas?
Sponsorship is common among mid-size to large SaaS companies, cloud platforms, and enterprise software firms with active immigration programs. Smaller startups or companies without dedicated HR infrastructure sponsor less frequently, not because the role doesn't qualify, but because the administrative overhead is a barrier. Filtering by employer size and industry significantly improves your odds of finding a sponsoring employer.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new Partner Success Manager role at a different company?
Yes. H-1B portability allows you to start working for a new employer as soon as they file a transfer petition, without waiting for approval, provided you've been in valid H-1B status and your previous petition was approved. The new employer still needs to file an LCA and I-129. The role should be in the same or a related specialty occupation as your original petition to avoid complications.
Where can I find Partner Success Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters Partner Success Manager roles by sponsorship availability. Rather than sorting through hundreds of listings with no sponsorship information, Migrate Mate surfaces employers actively open to sponsoring work visas, which makes your job search significantly more efficient if you're on an H-1B, OPT, or another work authorization.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Partner Success Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
