Wealth Management Associate Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a wealth management associate job in Chicago?
Focus your search on the Loop and River North, where private banks, regional wirehouses, and fee-only RIAs are most concentrated. Chicago's wealth management market rewards candidates who combine relationship-building skills with financial planning credentials like the CFP. Firms serving the city's family office and institutional client base also hire steadily, so targeting those niche employers alongside larger banks tends to open more doors than a purely national job-board approach.
Which companies hire wealth management associates in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring wealth management associates in Chicago include Goldman Sachs, Citi, and JPMorganChase, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's market features a mix of global wirehouses, regional trust companies, and independent advisory firms that serve the city's large professional and family-office client base.
Are there remote wealth management associate jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though remote availability is limited for this role because client-facing and relationship-management responsibilities are typically in-person. About 14% of wealth management associate openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the most flexibility found in analytical and portfolio-support functions rather than front-office client advisory roles.
How can I get a wealth management associate job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is joining a regional bank or credit union in a financial advisor support or client associate role first. Community banks in neighborhoods like Wicker Park and Lincoln Square, along with the wealth divisions of large Chicago-headquartered banks, regularly hire entry-level candidates and promote from within. Pursuing Series 7 or Series 66 licensing while in that support role makes the move to an associate position significantly more competitive.
Which industries hire the most wealth management associates in Chicago?
Most wealth management associate openings in Chicago sit in Banking & Financial Services, Investment & Asset Management, and Fintech, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's role as a major financial center, anchored by its derivatives markets, insurance headquarters, and a dense concentration of family offices, keeps demand for wealth management talent consistently strong across those sectors.
