Workday Consultant Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a workday consultant job in New York?
Focus your search on New York's financial services firms, large hospital systems, and global professional services firms, which generate the highest volume of workday consultant openings in the city. Concentrations in Midtown and the Financial District mean networking through in-person industry events pays off here. Hands-on Workday HCM or Financials certification, combined with experience in a regulated industry like banking or healthcare, gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire workday consultants in New York?
New York workday consultant roles are posted by Huron Consulting, Deloitte, and GEICO and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's hiring mix skews toward large financial institutions, global consulting firms with local delivery centers, and major health networks operating across the five boroughs.
Are there remote workday consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, though availability depends on the engagement type. About 22% of workday consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with fully remote roles most common in post-implementation support, configuration, and reporting work. Client-facing implementation phases typically require on-site presence at employer offices in Midtown or the Financial District.
How can I get a workday consultant job in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in New York is joining a consulting firm or systems integrator as a junior analyst or associate consultant, where you support senior workday consultants on active client engagements. Large firms in Midtown frequently hire for these associate-level roles and provide internal Workday training. Earning a Workday Pro certification before applying and targeting internal IT or HRIS analyst roles at New York-based financial or healthcare employers are both strong local entry points.
Which industries hire the most workday consultants in New York?
Most workday consultant openings in New York sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026.
