Workday Consultant Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a workday consultant in New York?
Becoming a workday consultant in New York starts with a bachelor's degree in a business or technology field, followed by earning Workday product certifications, which Workday and its authorized training partners issue directly. New York has no state-issued license for this role, so employers weight certification and hands-on project experience heavily. Many candidates in New York enter through consulting firms or large corporate IT departments, often moving from adjacent roles like business analyst, ERP administrator, or HR systems specialist.
How much do workday consultants make in New York?
Workday consultants in New York earn a median of about $116,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,740 for the lowest 10% to over $203,040 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire workday consultants in New York?
Employers hiring workday consultants in New York right now include Huron Consulting, PwC, and Reliable Software Resources, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's density of global financial institutions, hospital systems, and Big Four consulting offices means demand is spread across both direct corporate roles and client-facing consulting positions.
Which New York cities have the most workday consultant jobs?
The cities with the most workday consultant openings in New York are New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the largest concentration of financial services firms, media companies, and enterprise consulting practices in the state, while suburban markets like White Plains benefit from corporate headquarters that have moved back-office and HR technology functions out of Manhattan.
Are there remote workday consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 0% of workday consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves system configuration, testing, and virtual client collaboration rather than on-site presence. Post-implementation support roles and functional analyst positions tend to be the most consistently remote, while project kickoff phases and executive workshops often require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a workday consultant in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is earning a Workday certification through an authorized training program and targeting associate consultant or implementation analyst roles at consulting firms with New York offices, such as Deloitte, Accenture, or regional boutique partners. Many of these firms run structured analyst programs that accept candidates with strong academic backgrounds in HR, accounting, or IT. Moving laterally from an HR systems administrator or business analyst role inside a large New York employer is another common door in, since that experience maps directly to what clients need.
Where can I find and apply to workday consultant jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to workday consultant jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across New York City, White Plains, Buffalo, and other New York hiring hubs. Find roles that match your module expertise and experience level and apply directly to the ones that fit.
