Account Representative Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a account representative job in Chicago?
The strongest entry point in Chicago is targeting the Loop's financial services firms, River North's tech companies, and the healthcare networks anchored across the North Side and suburbs. Candidates who can demonstrate territory management or consultative selling experience stand out in this market. Building familiarity with Chicago's dense B2B landscape, especially SaaS, insurance, and medical devices, gives you a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire account representatives in Chicago?

Chicago's hiring base is wide, with Fortune 500 firms headquartered downtown, fast-growing tech companies in Fulton Market, and regional insurance and financial services employers spread across the metro area.
Are there remote account representative jobs in Chicago?

About 51% of account representative openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote options most common in inside sales, software, and national account management roles based out of Chicago offices.
How can I get a account representative job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic starting point in Chicago is an inside sales representative or sales development representative role at one of the city's many mid-size SaaS or fintech companies, particularly those clustered in Fulton Market and the West Loop. Chicago's large insurance carriers and healthcare distributors also hire entry-level account coordinators who transition into full representative roles within one to two years. A demonstrated ability to manage outreach volume and communicate value clearly matters more to most Chicago employers than a formal sales background.
