Position Summary

The Health & Technology Training Institute (HTTI) is seeking qualified, student-centered Registered Nurses to join the Practical Nursing Program as Adjunct Clinical and/or Didactic Instructors. Faculty members work collaboratively with the Program Director and nursing faculty to provide high-quality instruction, promote student success, support safe nursing practice, and help students achieve established course and program outcomes.

Opportunities may include classroom/theory instruction, clinical instruction, skills laboratory or simulation, or a combination of assignments based on faculty qualifications, experience, availability, and program needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide organized, evidence-informed nursing instruction consistent with the approved HTTI Practical Nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes.

· Supervise and guide students in clinical, classroom, skills laboratory, and/or simulation learning environments as assigned.

· Develop and use lesson plans, clinical assignments, case studies, active-learning strategies, and other instructional methods appropriate to adult learners.

· Evaluate student learning and clinical performance using approved examinations, assignments, competency tools, clinical evaluations, and other program measures.

· Maintain accurate and timely attendance, grades, clinical evaluations, student-progress records, remediation documentation, and other required faculty records.

· Identify students who are academically or clinically at risk, provide appropriate remediation and support, and promptly communicate concerns to the Program Director.

· Provide timely, constructive, and professional feedback while maintaining consistent academic, clinical, behavioral, and professional standards.

· Incorporate ATI resources, assessments, modules, and remediation activities into assigned courses when applicable and monitor student completion and performance.

· Promote patient safety, confidentiality, medication safety, infection prevention, professional communication, clinical judgment, accountability, and appropriate faculty-student boundaries.

· Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum review, program evaluation, professional development, and continuous quality-improvement activities.

Student Data & Program Improvement

Faculty members will work closely with the Program Director to use student and program data to strengthen teaching, student outcomes, and program effectiveness. Responsibilities include:

· Review relevant student performance information, including grades, attendance, standardized assessment results, ATI performance, clinical evaluations, progression, remediation, and other student-outcome data.

· Assist the Program Director in identifying trends, learning gaps, recurring areas of weakness, and students who may require early intervention or additional support.

· Contribute faculty observations and data-informed recommendations for instructional, remediation, curriculum, scheduling, clinical, or student-support improvements.

· Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty team to implement approved changes designed to improve student achievement, program outcomes, and NCLEX-PN readiness.

· Participate in follow-up evaluation of implemented changes to determine whether interventions are producing the intended results.

Qualifications

· Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.

· Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.

· Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience involving direct patient care and/or nursing education.

· Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, administrators, and clinical partners.

· Commitment to professional nursing education, student success, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, or a closely related field.

· Previous teaching experience in a Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, or other nursing education program.

· Experience teaching adult learners and/or supervising nursing students in clinical settings.

· Experience with ATI, standardized nursing assessments, NCLEX preparation, simulation, or skills laboratory instruction.

· Experience reviewing student outcome data and using results to guide instructional or program improvement.

Schedule

Faculty availability may be needed for weekday evening didactic instruction, daytime weekend clinical rotations, and selected weekday/evening clinical, laboratory, simulation, or make-up experiences. Specific assignments are based on program needs, faculty credentials, course requirements, and clinical-site availability.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
