College Admissions Counselors are an essential element of the University administrative team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Discovers and cultivates prospective student and new market leads.
- Recruits prospective students and provides essential information related to admissions requirements and enrollment processes.
- Makes vital information available to the community through visits and presentations.
- Works collaboratively with University deans, faculty, staff, alumni, and current students to attract new students.
- Fosters awareness, promotion, and support of a culture of higher education through outreach.
- Assists and supports University initiatives related to recognition and growth.
- Assists Enrollment Coordinator with arranging and coordinating faculty and staff visits with community college counselors or other event coordinators.
- Strategize on opportunities to enhance Early College efforts in SC territories.
- Represent the University at community and outside organization functions including career days, special events, and conferences; meet with Principals and South Carolina Independent School Association representatives to exchange information and answer questions; prepare and deliver presentations regarding programs and services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited college or university
- One year of recruiting and/or sales experience
- Must have reliable transportation and current valid driver’s license
- Proven track record of exceeding goals
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base
- Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
