Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center
Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to be based primarily at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT at a new inpatient psychiatric unit for adolescents. This position is an alternating schedule with some night and weekend coverage included in the basic schedule, as well as generous allowances for vacation and conference time.
In this role, you will join a dedicated team and work collaboratively to provide state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric care to adolescents age 12-17 in an inpatient setting. The inpatient unit will include an experienced interdisciplinary team of psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical providers to deliver high-quality care.
Our team is dedicated to promoting the professional development of each nurse practitioner to meet their full potential and practice at the top of their scope. Additionally, opportunities exist for clinical supervision, precepting and didactic teaching in our APRN and other psychiatric education training programs if of interest to the applicant.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited APRN academic program
National specialty certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
- Eligible for APRN licensure in the State of NH
- Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
- BLS certification
Area of Interest: Associate Provider
Pay Range: $136,032.00/Yr. - $164,673.60/Yr. (Based on 40 hours per week, otherwise pro rata)
FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 - 1.00 - 40 hrs/week
